Manchester to Antalya
First time to Turkey and using Jet2 holidays and neither disappointed.
I’d heard so many things about Turkey and how it was one of these places you either love it or hate it. Let me tell you, whilst I was there, there was no reason to hate it at all. The hotels I visited all had the wow factor, the food was plentiful and no fussy eater could ever go hungry, everywhere was clean and just so pretty. The people were great and couldn’t do enough for you. Yes they kept telling me the Louis Vuitton bag was just what I need but I was telling myself that anyway and a polite no thank you was always accepted with a friendly smile and a “have a nice day lady”
As this was an educational visit with Jet2holidays I visited a total of 8 Hotels ranging from 2* to 5* in the Side and Nr Alanya area. As a mum of 4 my favourite hotel was definitely the Haydarpasha Palace. This hotel is also great for a group of people to go of all ages, or maybe looking for the perfect hotel for a wedding to accommodate all your guests this was the one.
Trip wise we visited the Manavgat Waterfalls, these waterfalls were your perfect photo opportunity with lots of little Turkish craft small businesses dotted around for you to buy your typical tourist souvenirs, aswell as refreshments to cool you down.
We also visited side old town and its ancient city and learnt all the history and got some great knowledge of the area.
Turkey is now on my family go to list, the kids want to experience the land of the legends hotel, also known as Turkeys version of Disney and of course the older ones want to go shopping. I want to go and do a boat trip to the blue lagoon and my husband was blown away that you could have a 3 course meal in a la carte restaurant including steak for £10pp.
If your skeptical, don’t be there’s so much to explore and value for money you can’t go wrong.
Please drop me a message if you have any questions.
